30,000 Native American children were placed into Boarding Schools between 1880 and 1902
Some children were forced to wear military uniforms
ABUSE
- Children were beaten if they spoke their language
- Children were forced to cut their hair
- Some got their heads smashed into the wall
- Most didn't get fed for days
PHYSICAL ABUSE
- Some got beaten with razor staps
- Some teachers beat then with rulers or yardsticks
- Childeren got burned
SEXUAL ABUSE
- Some were forced to stand naked in front of class mates
- Most sexual abuses were by men
- Nuns used boys for sexual pleasures
- Some priests, nuns, and teachers sexually abused them

- Got abused for asking questions
- She said after school she didn't fit in anywhere
- Got sexually abused by a male teacher
