OVERVIEW
In the 1800's in Great Britain a revolution began

NATURAL ENERGY SOURCES
The Industrial Revolution in Great Britain led to the idea of using natural resources.
They used coal which powered engines and others of the sort.
They also used streams which had them use natural energy from the streams.
4.
AMERICAN INGENUITY
They built textile factories near swiftly flowing rivers
The river powered the factories that led to mass production.
5.
MASS PRODUCTION
Mass production led to an extreme drop in price.
It also led to a mass amount of slaves being taken and sent to work
6.
THE NORTH
The north went from a economic hub to farming land.
The north now became farmers and grew what they needed.
What they did not eat or use they sold at markets.
7.
THE SOUTH
After the Industrial Revolution many inventions were born.
Some of which were the cotton gin and the textile mills run on natural energy.
The amount of slaves in the south before the Industrial Revolution was 750,000
The amount of slaves during the Revolution was 1,200,000.
8.
THE NORTH VS. THE SOUTH

THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
The textile industry was changed by natural energy.
Now the people working in these mills could run machines to do the work.

The North would produce the manufactured goods.
The South would by these goods.
The South would produce grain, meat and cotton
The North would buy it.
13.
