WHY MOVE TO THE CITY?

• JOBS!!!!!!
• Jobs were available
• Jobs mean you get money
• People like having money so they moved and got jobs

CONDITIONS

• Factory workers worked long and hard hours
• They were cramped and had no space
• Worked for more than 12 hours most of the time
• The owners however... Had more than one factory sometimes the whole area
• Had time on their hand and made a lot of money unlike the factory workers

WOMEN ANE CHILDREN

• Women and children worked long hours
• Women had more rights and could even get a job
• Children would often get jobs to help the family

SOCIAL CLASSES

• Factory workers the lowers class
• Middle class lawyers and other workers who had education
• High class like factory owners
• The lower class made little money while high class made a lot
• Middle class had to be educated

SOCIAL CLASS

• Lower class made no money and worked a lot
• Middle class made a far bit of money for mild hours
• High class made a lot of many and had monopolies

TRADE UNION

• Aka labor union
• A group of people who promoted common interest
• They wanted better term of working and safer working areas
