DURING THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
CHOLERA
- Vibrio cholerae is the cause of cholera
- It is found in dirty water
- There was an outbreak in London (1830's)
- During this outbreak 7000 people died
Vibrio Cholerae is a bacteria that causes cholera. The outbreak happened in 1831-1832. 7000 was about 1/2(50%)of the people that were infected by cholera.

SYMPTOMS
- Diarrhea
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Dehydration
- Muscle cramps
- Shock
SYMPTOMS IN CHILDREN
- Most symptoms are same with these three added
- Extreme drowsiness/Coma
- Fever
- Convulsions (muscle spasms)
PREVENTION
- There is a vaccine(unrecommended because it's temporary)
- Use only water that is boiled, chemically disinfected OR bottled
