  • Work days were very long and factory's didn't take any safety measures
  • This lead to protests

WHY DID PEOPLE MOVE TO THE INNER CITIES

  • Higher paying jobs
  • Agricultural surplus
  • 75% of people lived in the inner cities

SOCIAL CLASSES, WOMAN, AND CHILDREN

  • The social classes that were created were the Working class, middle class, and the business class.
  • Woman now were a large part of the working class
  • Children now had to also work to support families and their conditions were also bad
