INFLUENZA

  • The flu is an infection of the nose, throat, and lungs.
  • highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory passages
  • causing fever, severe aching, and catarrh,
  • and often occurring in epidemics.

Symptoms of the flu can include

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Body aches

SYMPTOMS CONTINUED

  • Headache
  • Chills
  • Tiredness
  • Sometimes diarrhea and vomiting

FLU SEASON

  • Flu season in the U.S. can start in October and last until May.

PREVENTION

  • Wash hands
  • Cover your mouth
  • Get a vaccine
