SHORT TERM EFFECTS

  • Euphoria, or a feeling of quick excitement
  • Slurred speech
  • Hallucinations
  • Lack of coordination
  • Delusions
  • Headache
  • Dizziness

LONG TERM EFFECTS

  • An unusual smell of chemicals on the breath or clothing
  • Nausea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Depression
  • Lack of coordination
  • Slurred speech
  • Household chemical stains on clothing, face or hands
  • Irritability

  • Over 2.1 million kids, ages 12-17, have used an inhalant to get high.
  • 1 out of 5 school-aged children in the U.S. has intentionally abused a common household product to get high by the time they reach eighth grade.
  • Cause limb spasms
