WAYS ANTS PROTECT THEMSELVES
Some sting or bite.
Other ants will block their nest by putting their
head in the entrance.
They will also throw small intruders out of the nest by
using their powerful mandibles.

5.
ARE ANTS HELPFUL OR HARMFUL TO HUMANS?
They are helpful, because when they dig in the ground the soil gets
mixed up. They also eat other insects.
They are harmful to humans because some bite us, they damage houses,
and they infest our food.
