PRESENTATION OUTLINE
INSECTS MOST IMPORTANT ADAPTATIONS
- Wings or flying
- Mouth parts
- Camouflage
- Metamorphosis.
A important part of insects is them being able to fly. It helps them to get away from predators and to get closer to food. They can also use it to just to travel around.
Camouflage is another adaptation that helps insects. It helps them to hide from predators and to blend into other objects.
Another important adaptation of insects is that they use metamorphosis. That is what caterpillars use to turn into moths or butterflies.
One last important adaptation is insects mouthparts. If all insects had the same mouth then they would all run out of food because they would eat the same thing.
One thing I learned about the cockroaches is that they move faster if you touch their back. Another thing I learned is that they grab onto stuff really hard for defense because it’s hard to get them off and the back side of their shell is hard.
Another thing I found interesting was when the cockroach’s licked the barbecue sauce of their antennas and ate the oranges or bananas.
