• If the a component on the gun broke it had to be sent to a expert gunsmith to be custom fixed
• If the gunsith couldent fix the gun it would be discarded and they would give you a new gun
• Every gun was a one of a kind possesion
• Gunsmith was a very skilled work

AFTER CREATED

• Removed problems
• Consisting parts
• Not as much significant finishing
• No more unique guns

• Got milling machines to make the model of the gun
• When fighting the french, america got whitney to make guns
