The internet is a powerful tool that can be used to help us, but it can also be used to hurt us. These are some of the internet dangers facing young people today and how we can combat those dangers.

• Sexual predators
• Pornography

Cyberbullying

Financial Predators
Those who are not educated in Internet safety can be easily persuaded into giving up personal information that can be used for identity theft.

Sexual predators pretend to be kids online to get close to unsuspecting children.

• Tell an adult when anything innapropriate comes on your screen
• Don't put personal information on the internet (address, birthday, school, etc.)
• Make sure you personally know someone before starting to chat with them online.
• Think before you post
• Know how to navigate safety tools such as blocking and privacy settings
