Dalton's Atomic Theory

1. All substances are made of atoms.
2. Atoms of the same element are exactly alike.
3. Atoms join with other atoms to make new substances.

Thomson's Discovery of the Electron

-In 1897, Thomson discovered a mistake in Dalton's theory when he discovered that there are small particles within the nucleus.
