Introduction To Main Task

Within this course I will produce content of a music magazine, this includes a front cover, contents page and a double page spread.

The research I will be conducting will help me create a new music magazine that is professional by following the codes and conventions of my chosen genre. The research and tasks also allows me to keep track on my progress and errors. This will enable me to grow as a media student.

Research & Planning

• Before achieving my practical pieces, I will carry out the appropriate levels of research into real media texts and a potential target audience;
• Successfully organising actors, location, costumes and props.
• I will be taking the time to present my work well by using ICT creatively.
• Also, to manage my time well.
• Finally, to make an equal contribution when working in a group or pair if necssary.

Constructing Practical peices

• I will show my skill in the creative use of appropriately framing shots.
• Using a variety of appropriate shot distances.
• Shooting material that is appropriate to the task set.
• eing able to select mise-en-scene sensibly according to the chosen genre.
• Manipulating photographs through software's such as Adobe Photoshop.
• I will need to accurately use mode of address when constructing my media context by including relevant language and register.
• Being able to appropriately intergrate image and text.
• Alternatively, I must show an understanding of codes and conventions of my chosen genre throughout my practical pieces e.g. layout and page design.
• Finally, to use ICT appropriately and creatively for the task.
