LION FISH

  • Natural habitat: indo-pacific, seaward edge of reefs and coral, lagoons, and rocky surfaces
  • Started living in the east coast Caribbean when hurricane Andrew destroyed and aquarium
  • Pose a major threat to reef ecological systems, and could decrease Atlantic reef diversity

STARLINGS

  • Habitat: Europe, Asia, Africa
  • Eugene schiefflin decided all birds mentioned by William Shakespeare should live in America
  • Eat livestock rations and food found in garbage. Threaten ecosystems by dominating the natural residents

CANE TOAD

  • Original habitat: Australia
  • Reproduced rapidly and now dwell in north and South America
  • Breed easily, have abundant food and steal food from animal bowls. Animals that eat the cane toads die from their poisoning
  • Humans do eat cane toads and have died from their venom. Cane toads are hunted by humans.

SNAKEHEAD FISH

  • Original habitat: China, Russia, and Korea.
  • Have swam through the lakes and have appeared in New York.
  • Harm native fish and wildlife, and impact our economy. Eat voraciously, primarily on fish but also eat frogs.

KILLER BEE

  • Original habitat: Africa
  • Discovered in 1985 in San Joaquin valley of California hatched onto a Venezuelan oil tanker.
  • Have a significant impact of honey production.

MOUNTAIN PINE BEETLE

  • Original habitat: Mexico, British Columbia, and Northern America
  • Can stand against a trees defenses and destroy acres of forest

GIANT AFRICAN SNAIL

  • Habitat: east Africa
  • Have established themselves in United States Hawaii and making their way to Florida
  • Have begun to attack agriculture fields and flower gardens, and are dangerous to animals.
  • In rare cases, they will consume eachother

SEA WALNUT

  • Original Habitat: Black Sea
  • Have been found in casein sea, and north and Baltic seas
  • Eat zooplankton which were depleted, thereby affecting the entire food chain of the lake

PYTHON

  • Habitats: Africa, Nepal, India, Burma, basically everywhere
  • They're everywhere
  • They attack everything, and they come from a poisonous ancestor

FIRE ANTS

  • Habitats: U.S, Australia, phillippines, China, and Taiwan
  • Accidentally introduced into U.S from a South American cargo ship
  • Have a painful sting, and can kill animals larger than them
  • Their enemies are phorid flies
