James Watt invented the steam engine 1775. This revolutionised transport.
Steamboats, trains, cars, motorbikes and planes followed.
Technology is continually improving transport.

INDUSTRY AND ENERGY

The steam engine was also very important for industry. It made machines work more quickly.
The invention of the electric motor revolutionised machines in industry and in homes.
Nowadays scientists are working onways to produce energy from renewable sources.

FREE TIME INVENTIONS

People take photos with cameras, at first they were simple now they are very complex
The television offers different contents to see, the cinema can be a free time too.
Nowadays there are lots of inventions we can use like electronic games and videogames
Inventions in atractions of theme parks.

COMMUNICATIONS

The printing press was invented around 1450.It revolutionised communications.
The wireless telegraph was invented at the end of the 1890’s. People could send messages immediately through electrical signals.
Later came the telephone, the fax machine and the mobile telephone.
The invention of the computer and the internet was the biggest communications revolution of all.
