INVERTABRATES
Mollusks
Sponges
Arthropods
Worms
Echinoderms
2.
MOLLUSKS
Have soft bodies
Have a thick muscular foot
They take in oxygen through gills or lungs
Some have shells
3.
SPONGES
Very simple animals
They get food and eliminate waste through this flow of water
Specialized cells for obtaining food and oxygen for water
Have many pores in their body. Water flows through the pores
Water moves into a central cavity and out through a big opening in the top
4.
ATHROPODS
They have jointed legs
They have segmented bodies
Some have wings
Have exoskeletons
Breathe through gills or air tubes
5.
WORMS
Have long tube- like bodies that are divided into segments
Simplest orginisms with: a nerves system, blood in vessels
Long digestive tube that runs through inner bodie
Take in oxygen from the water through their skin
6.
ECHINODERMS
Have arms that extend from the middle of their bodie
Have tube feet that take in oxygen
Have spines
Ex: sea stars, brittle stars, and sea cucumbers
