iPAD CHECKOUT PROCEDURES

iPad CART CHECKOUT

1. Located in Mrs. Schwartz's room
a. The cart has 22 iPads
2. Plug in the cart and look at the indicator lights to ensure the cart has power and is charging.
3. Demo how to unlock the lock, it is tricky
4. Turn to the iPad Cart Folder (Master Schedule), and go over Return Procedures and what time to return
5. Must schedule an iPad model lesson before you can check it out.


Ex. Using to research ocean animals. Using PicKids to describe a main character.

STUDENT CHECKOUT

1. Go over iPad Guidelines: Use 2 Clean Hands, Sit while Using, Go "Back to Black", Be respectful and Follow Directions

2. Explain Check Out for students, time saving tip: create a list with each period that has a number for each student. This way student use the same iPad each time.

3. Show how the Wallpaper has a number to quickly identify each iPad.

4. Do not let students plug in. Battery will last entire day. Last teacher to use, please plug it in.

CHARGING CART

1. Show the front of the binder and go over checklist. All iPads accounted for, plugged in...

2. Work orders will be in the binder, fill out in detail and give it to the Cart Leader, they will turn it into the person in charge of maintenance.

VANDALISM

  • Report to Administration
1. Go over student agreement, highly suggested.

2. Spend a good amount of time going over the expectations for iPad use in your classroom: Pic Collage Lesson

3. Purposeful vandalism needs to be reported to admin

REVIEW RELAY GAME

  • Unlock the cart.
  • Turn over card, look for student on the list and remove that iPad.
  • Take a team selfie.
  • Put iPad back, charge, check lights on cart and lock cart.
Play the Rocky theme song and have 2 carts set up. Put the groups in 2 teams and play the game.
