9/11 HEROES OF WAR

9/11 heroes of war. This book is about different things that happened in 9/11. This also happens in different places. Many heroes in the book we're willing to sacrifice their life for others.

9/11 was known as the "Bloodiest Day" since the Civil War. This all started because a terrorist organization called Al-Qaeda hijacked four jetliners and turned them into machines of destruction. More than 3,000 people were killed in a instant because of the attack

By the end of the day over 3,000 people were dead the world was in shock. The person who planed the plot was Khalid Sheikh of Kuwait. his Plan was approved by Al- Qaeda's leader Osama bin Laden. His hatred for America was terrifying. 19 young terorist fundamentalist spent two years training for the 9/11 attack.

One of the stories explained in the book was about Captain Jay Jonas. Captain Jonas is the leader of firefighters in New York. He had heard a transmission that he had never heard before. He had a code of talk to his crew. When he said Ten- Sixty it meant a catastrophic event. He went to the World Trade Center and it was on fire burning. When he went in he was not sure if he got out alive.

Captain Jay Jonas is remembered today as hero who didn't think of himself but the people around him. He was trapped in Stairwell B in the Twin Towers ten people were trapped as well in Stairwell B. The total of 14 people survived the collapse wile 2,753 people died.

Before the attack on the World Trade Center it was a complex of seven buildings in the heart of New York's Financial District. Soaring above it was one of the tallest buildings the Twin Towers.

Rick Rescorla was responsible for saving over 2,700 lives during 9/11 he sang songs to keep people calm while they evacuated. He earned the Medal of Valor of 9/11 and he earned many different medals. He died the on 9/11 while tryng to rescue people.

Many people across the country were watching in fear as towers were collapsing. Many sports games were canceled breaking news every where across the U.S

Police Officer Moira Smith she was the first police officer to report the terrorist attack when she saw the plane crash into the tower. She was a 13- year veteran. She quickly began assisting the evacuation and was honored for what she did.

This book is recommended because it tells what 9/11 was about. It tells different stories of how people helped to save lives and who they were. This book was about the people who were saved and who saved them. This were true stories.

In conclusion 9/11 was remembered as series of horrific attacks by terrorist. How they killed many Americans that did nothing wrong. There are still terrorism around today and many attacks. All we can do is hope for the best.
