• Irena was an Polish Catholic Social Worker.
• Sendler was a Jewish Sympathizer as a child. 
• She wanted to help the Jews with their suffering.
• She also was the head of the Zegota.

Aiding

• During the Holocaust, she helped 1,000-2,500 Jews.
• Her and her friends made thousands of false documents.
• As head of the Zegota childrens foundation she sumggled
• as many as 2,500 children out of Warsaw and had them placed
• in Polish family's, Orphanges, and Convents.
