  • Iron is needed for hemoglobin in red blood cells
  • It helps store and carry oxygen
  • It helps your sleeping habits
  • It ruduces levels of stress
  • You can endure physical activities

PROBLEMS WITH HAVING TOO LITTLE IRON

  • You may begin to vomit blood
  • You will have troubles sleeping
  • You wont be able to handle every day activities
  • You could suffocate from oxygen loss
  • You muscles will weaken

  • Dark chocolate
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Nuts
  • Eggs
  • Dried fruit

MORE FOOD

  • Dark leafy green veggies
  • Dried beans

FACTS

  • Teen girls need 15 mg of iron
  • Teenage boys need 11 mg
  • You may lose iron through blood loss
  • Atletes do not need more iron
