Isaac Newton occupation

Isaac Newton was a physicist and mathematician. He is widely known for his discovery of Gravity which lead to scientific breakthroughs and a whole new look at the world.

Newton’s road to success

At first Newton kept his discoveries secret but let revealed them after college. He graduated college with no honor or distinctions.

Although Newton didn’t do well in school and often played hooky he made many great discoveries in his private studies outside of school, including the laws of gravity.

Gravity

Isaac Newton first came up with the idea of gravity when he witnessed an apple fall from a tree while thinking about the forces of nature. He then began to think, there must be a force that causes the apple to fall instead of float. He called it gravity.

With the discovery of gravity it opened up a whole new few to the world. Newton also figure that this same force is what keeps the moon in orbit of the Earth instead of floating away.

Newton’s discovery of gravity inspired other scientist like Albert Einstein who made the laws of relativity, which is another gravity related breakthrough. Though they may have different ideas about the subject. Newton laid the road map for future discoveries.

Although Newton’s laws of gravity explain many of the worlds question scientist refused to believe his idea.

Eventually though they realized he was right and accepted the idea of gravity.

The discovery of gravity was a humanistic act because it focus on the truth of the world and expanded the world's academic views.

Isaac Newton's inspiration to becoming a mathematician and Physicist.

When Isaac Newton was young his mother wanted him to be a farmer. And to run the family farm.

But Isaac had not interest in being a farmer. His uncle was able to persuade his mother into enrolling him in University of Cambridge's Trinity College.

When Isaac arrived at the College the scientific revolution of the 17th century was taking place. Newton did not agree with some of the ideas presented and tried to make his own discovers that proved the old ones false.

Isaac Newton
Humanist

Isaac Newton is a Humanist because he seeks out knowledge and bring forth new ideas. He shows this trait many times by continue to make scientific breakthroughs and discoveries such as the laws of gravity, laws of motion, calculus and the color spectrum. Isaac Newton also invented the reflecting telescope.

Isaac Newton Quotes

Plato is my friend, Aristotle is my friend. But my greatest friend is truth.

This shows that Isaac Newton is a Humanist because it shows Newton’s desire to seek the truth through and academic view.

A man may imagine things that are false, but he can only understand things that are true, for if the things be false, the apprehension of them is not understanding.

This shows that Isaac Newton is a Humanist because it shows that he believes that facts are more believable than fiction

He made many great discoveries and shared them with the world. Most of them were rejected until historians found his work and published books about him.
