  • What? "Surface Water Sport which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water"

  • Speed of going into the wake, curvature of the board, impact of the wake versus board, and deceleration of landing

DIFFERENT BOARD STYLES

  • Beginner: small and fitable
  • Intermidiate: medium and more fins
  • Advanced: great curvature, high boots, shorter fins, and light
  • They affect the way you ride because of the length versus weight, width, heavy, light, how many fins, and the curvature.

  • Boards are made of fiberglass, foam, and resin
  • It is identical to trick skiing
  • You go about 16-23 mph
  • Howard Jacobs who made the wakeboard, wake boarded on the St. John's river in Jacksonville Florida
  • It "has been apart of the World Games since 2005"
  • Amber Wing was the first woman to land a frontside flip
