• It's the 4th largest river in Bavaria

• They also used to use it as a method of trade

• Several areas along the Isar are designated nudists resorts
• Although, people have been caught skinny dipping all over
• On a tributary of the Isar, the force of the river creates an endless wave
• It's the only place in Munich you can surf on a "real" wave

• It's not like white water rafting in America, it's more leisurely
• Usually in a wooden raft with lots of food and music
