PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Allah, the one God.
Muhammad, the messenger.
follow the footsteps
Shahada testifies that there is no god except one God; Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s messenger. "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God". Anyone who cannot recite this phrase with their full heart and mean the words they are saying is not a Muslim as it goes against the Muslim belief. Shahada and the phrase teaches Muslims to follow in Muhammad's footsteps.

Muslims pray to God,
to show spiritual and
physical practice
Salat or Salah is a ritual prayer. There are five daily prayers and they are performed at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and night. The salat practices are believed to help promote relaxation upon people who follow and believe the ritual prayer. Salat is how Muslims show both their physical and spiritual beliefs to Allah.

Zakah is giving
2.5 percent to poor
to purify souls
Zakah or Zakat is the giving of 2.5% of one’s wealth to the poor or charity. Muslims see wealth as a belonging of Allah’s, and giving Zakah donations help to purify the souls of Muslims by not showing greed. It is thought and said that the person giving the money will then receive 100 times the amount they gave when they enter the afterlife.

Muslim pilgrimage,
belief in harmony and
more gender fairness.
Hajj is the 5th of the 5 pillars, it is a Muslim belief where they believe in forming a pilgrimage to Mecca that all Muslims are expected to fulfill at least once throughout their lifetime. It is designed to encourage and show that everyone is equal in Allah’s eyes. This is done by the taking all social status, wealth, and pride away and setting it aside to focus on each other. The Hajj belief increases equality and harmony between different ethnic groups, as well as creating an increase to the acceptance of women. This then leads to a greater acceptance in having women to have education and some form of employment.
