ISLAMIC BELIEFS

• Monotheism: belief in one God
• God created the earth and all humans will face him on judgement day
• They believe their faith is the original faith; same faith of Adam
• They deny that Jesus was crucified
• Only Muslims are accepted by God

THE QURAN

• Its God's final revelation
• It is the best and most beautiful book
• The first part of the Quran is more light hearted part of the Quran
• The second part of the Quran is very harsh.
• The literal word of God

MUHAMMAD

• The Quran revealed God's revaluation to Muhammad
• He was the final prophet sent by God
• He is seen as the successor of prophets
• He has a superlative status
• He is considered to be the one prophet for human kind

HADITH

• The second book of Islam
• The traditions of the teaching, rulings, and actions of Muhammad
• They are inspired by God and must be obeyed
• It's diverse unlike the Quran
• This derived from the Sunna, which are the actions of Muhammad

THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM

• There is no God but Allah and Muhammad his prophet
• Muslims must pray pray five times a day facing Mecca
• Fasting during Ramadan.
• Muslims are expected to give 2.5% of their annual capital to the poor
• All Muslims are expected to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once.
