• Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia.
• The founder of this religion is Muhammad.
• The year that Islam was established was 610.

BASIC BELIEFS

• They believe in angels.
• They believe in books of God
• Believe in the prophets or massagers of God.
• Believe in the day of judgement.
• They believe in the Devine decree.
• They also believe in the oneness of God.

• The Islamic year is 11 days shorter than the rest of the western world.
• There are 25 countries in which more than 95% of the population is Muslim.
• After Muhammad died Islam split into two major branches.sunnis (85% of all Muslims) Shiites (15%)

• They believe God took Jesus to himself in a manner similar to Elijah.
• Mecca means the " the place of the drinking cup."
• Islam is the second largest faith community,after Christianity.
