PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1. Religious Differences
- The Ottoman religion was muslim and they mainly focused on Allah, who was a servant of God. Allah purifies the earth "from the filth of polytheism".
- In the Safavid empire, the people were Twelver Shiism, which was one of the biggest turning points in Islam.
- And in the Mughal empire, the people were Hindu and Muslim. They did a lot of cross religion-ing in this time and they were very peaceful with their movements and culture.
2. Administrative Techniques
- The Ottoman government was driven by military and structure. The ottoman military leaders organized Ghazi recruits into two groups: the light Calvary and the voluntary Calvary.
- The Safavid government was stricter by their ruler, Akbar. He told them how to live their life and the ways to be successful. They had a successful government for the most part.
- And the Mughal government also had a absolute monarchy and was almost identical to the Safavid empire.
3. Economy and Trade
- The economy of the Ottoman Empire ran on trade with other empires. The main items that they traded were silk, tea, spices, and porcelain. They also charged the people with taxes on certain products.
- The Safavid Empire relied on the Silk Road and the direct race they had with European countries.
- The Mughal Empire relied on trade, agriculture and other industries, as well as taxes.
