CRITICAL THINKER

ILO:EVALUATE ACCURACY AND ERROR IN ONES OWN EXPERIMENT.

The reason I chose this artifact and ILO is because I want to improve my accuracy. This artifact is notes and it has the definition of error and accuracy. I would also like to reduce my errors and be able to tell the definition of both.

SELF REGULATED LEARNER

ILO: DESIGN AND CARRY OUT EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE FROM QUESTION TO CONCLUSION

I chose to use a lab experiment as an artifact. The reason is because I showed and followed my experiment from the start to finish. Starting with a question and ending with a conclusion.

COLLABORATOR

ILO: WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A TEAM TO ACHIEVE A COMMON GOAL

For this ILO I chose to use an extra credit assignment that I did with Roxanna. We worked on it together in order to be able to learn how to solve those problems that we were working on. Our goal was to get as many right as we could for extra credit points and we did achieve it.

PROBLEM SOLVER

ILO: PREDICT DIRECT AND INVERSE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN VARIABLES IN A EXPERIMENT

The artifact I used for this ILO is some pre lab questions. I am using it because there are many differences between dependent and independent variables. I have figured out the meanings on my own and I have gotten them right. I am proving the differences between them an independent variable changes with other chemicals and dependent variables don't change they usually stay the same.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR

ILO: FORMULATE A COMPLETE THOROUGH CONCLUSION

For this ILO the artifact being used is the conclusion of a lab. I completed the conclusion and received good feedback. The reason is that I actually took my time on it and didn't write it real fast or last minute.

RESPONSIBLE STUDENT COMMITTED TO JUSTICE

ILO: DEVELOP INFORMED OPINIONS ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL SCIENTIFIC ISSUES

I couldn't really take a picture of the artifact but i chose the water article we did. My partner and I worked on it and had different opinions on it because we didn't know where water went. She said it came out as fountain water and I said it goes to the river. It was an issue for us because we were a little worried about drinking water but we found out where the water really went.

SPIRITUAL ETHICAL PERSON

ILO: DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SPIRITUAL BELIEFS

I didn't have any artifact but my knowledge. There is a difference between scientific knowledge and spiritual beliefs. Scientific knowledge involves what you know like rules when working with chemicals and know what to do by reading instructions. Spiritual beliefs are what you want to belief and not precisely what you know.

Reflection
This year I learned new stuff that I pretty much didn't know about. My teacher showed me a lot of new things and helped me understand some concepts. I found out that if I put my head into my work I can actually do better than how I am doing now. My classmates would help me but I really wouldn't ask them to because I felt uncomfortable. I can take experience and knowledge in chemistry for my career in the future.
