School Connect: Optimizing the High School Expereince
What is School Connect?
- We are participating in a pilot at KAC called, School-Connect.
- This program helps advisors create supportive learning communities and focuses on the importance of school connectedness to adolescents' personal growth and engagement in learning.
The Mission:
- School-Connect seeks to foster academic engagement, enhance social and emotional competencies, reduce risk behaviors, and facilitate supportive relationships within high school communities. The ultimate goal is to prepare adolescents for adulthood both personally and professionally.

So, where do we start?
School Connect at KAC
- Lesson start during the week of 9/19.
- Lessons start the week of 9/19 (11th - 9/19, 12th - 9/20, 10th - 9/21, & 9th - 9/22).
- K. Caldwell will conduct the week 1 lesson per grade level in the auditorium. You will be provided with a folder and other materials.
