Jackie had brushed his big broom across the porch pretending it was a hockey stick.

All five Robinson children had a job they had to do everyday.

"Cracker!" as Jackie said to the white kids when they called him bad names.

Kids were having a blast at the Brookside Plunge Pool while Jackie sat outside the fence and watched.

'I'
In Brookside, the Pepper Street Gang jumped Jackie every time he left to get groceries.

'E'
Elementary school was simple for Jackie, he was the best ball player around.

'R'
Ray Bartlett was black like Jackie. Bartlett also played sports with Jackie.

'O'
One summer day, Jackie and the Pepper Street Gang became friends and entered a Ping-Pong Championship.

'B'
Baseball was the best sport for Jackie and probably the sport he was best at. He had joined the Monarchs to play outfield.

'I'
In Jackie's whole life he had never drank a drop of alcohol.

'N'
Negro players were scouted across the whole world in: America, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.

'S'
Several teams threatened to walk off the field when Jackie walked on because he was black.

'O'
Once again, the crowd erupted into cheers every time Jackie walked onto the field or up to bat.

'N'
"No matter what color skin you happen to have or country you happen to come from, there is still prejudice in the world. A lot of it. But I made things a lot better." -Jackie Robinson
