Jacques Ylvs Cousteau was a French undersea explorer, researcher, photographer, author, inventor and documentary host who invented diving and Scuba Devices such as The Aqua-Lung! He also conducted underwater expeditions and produced films, including the Underwater World of Jacques Cousteau.
He was born on the 11th of June in 1910 in Saint Andre-de-Cubzac, Gironde, France. Sadly, he died on the 25th of June1997 (aged 87yrs) in Parris, France.

The Aqua-Lung was the original English name of the first open-circuit, self-contained underwater breathing SCUBA to reach worldwide popularity and commercial success. This class of equipment is now commonly referred to as a diving regulator or demand valve. The Aqua-Lung was invented in Paris during the winter of 1942–1943 by two Frenchmen; the engineer Émile Gagnan and Jacques Cousteau.

Jacques Cousteau married his first wife Simone Melchior in 1937 and they had two sons, Jean-Michel in 1938 and Philippe in 1940. Sadly Simone passed away with cancer so Jacques Cousteau married Francine Triplet. Then they had two kids, Diane and Pierre-Ylvs.

Jacques Cousteau has published and wrote heaps of books. When I say heaps I don't mean 5, don't mean 10, I mean more than 30! One of his most popular book he wrote was The Silent World. He wrote books from 1953 all the way to 1975. 95% of Jacques Cousteaus books are mainly about the Ocean. Some citizens have rated him best Marine selling Author.

Jacques Cousteau has hosted many tv documentaries about the Ocean such as Under The Sea, The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau and The Silent World! They have reached over 5 million views which is mind blowing! Some people call David Attenborough the next Cousteau 😄 Even though Jacques Cousteau did stuff about water David Attenborough does stuff about everything. He has also reached over 87 thousand feedback on each of his films..
