Before the Revolutionary War, Madison was a colonel and represented his home town at the Virginia Constitution Convention. During the war, Madison supported the American-French alliance and helped write the U.S Constitution. After the war, Madison became the 4th U.S president and continued being a public figure.
James Madison had a very remarkable life because he stood for everything he believed in. He fought for his county in many different ways. He was a huge architect and "The Father of The Constitution",and fought hard for religious liberty. He was also our 4th U.S. President.
It's very obvious that he had very much determination. He was highly intelligent. He expressed his thoughts and ideas. He had wonderful leadership skills and loved his county.
I learnt that I should stand up for what I believe in and fight till I get it. I also learnt that you don't need to settle, anything always needs improving.
The way James Madison believed was entirely on him. He never had one set of beliefs, but valued religious freedom. He went to a college known for its evangelical seminary for republicanism and Presbyterianism, though never actually exercising his own religion. He did though, believe highly in a God that is well and good and just.
- James and his wife, Dolley, had a 17 year age gap. - When Madison married Dolley, she already had a son from a previous relationship. - The college Madison went to is now Princeton.
