ALL ABOUT JANE:

• Jane Goodall was born on April 3, 1934 in London
• In 1957, Jane took her first trip to Africa
• In 1960, she discovered that chimpanzees use tools too.
• She married Hugo in London March 28, 1964, they also had a child, and it was a boy who was named Hugo but everyone calls him Grub

Jane is brave because a chimpanzee beat her up and, threw her off a cliff! But she did not give up researching.

I can be brave by, facing whatever’s in my way. Also by never giving up.

Smart
Jane is smart because, she learned how the chimpanzees talk to each other. The chimps use hand signs and sounds.

I can be smart by, finding answers to my questions I ask. Then I can use these answers in the world.

Curious
Jane is curious because every day she studied animals even as a kid! Then she still did it as an adult.

I can be curious by, always asking questions. Also by looking at the world in a different way.
