Jane Goodall is famous to me for all of her work to figure out the social and family life of chimpanzees in Kigoma, Tanzania.

Jane Goodall

Jane's work has benefited the world by finding out the most about chimpanzees than any other ethnologist ever. She has been studying the social and family life of chimps for more than 50 years now!

INTERESTING FACTS

  • Jane's dad gave her a toy chimp, which she named jumbilee, when she turned 1, Jane still keeps it on her dresser today.
  • When she first began studying chimpanzees she gave each chimp a name. She gave the chimps unique names that reflected their appearance or personalities.
