- Her mother is Margaret myfanwe Joseph, novelist

FAMOUS FOR WHAT
- She studied the kasakela chimpanzee community in gombe stream national park
- She discovered that chimps eat meat
- She studied there relationships and emotions
- Magazines soon became interested in her study's and began to donate towards the cause

- Travels all around the world to give speeches about her experiences
- Still travels to gombe twice a year
- Jane has written books about her time with the chimps
- She is currently 80 years old
