JANET NAPOLITANO

Janet accomplished getting onto the Forbes list because she is the 3rd United States Secretary of Homeland Security. She has a pretty important job!

Janet is a doctor of jurisprudence, and she got that degree from the University of Virginia. She received a bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences, from Santa Clara University. Right now, she is a secretary for Barack Obama and a politician for the Department of Homeland Security.

Janet has had some pretty interesting jobs and experience as a politician. In 1991 she was an attorney for Anita Hill. While she was an attorney for Anita, she was a partner at Lewis and Roca LLP. In 1993, Janet was picked by President Bill Clinton as the United States attorney for the District of Arizona.

Janet's mother goes by the name of Jane Marie Winer(maiden name.) Her father's name is Leonard Michael Napolitano. Her father's side of the family is Italian and her mother's side of the family is German and Austrian. She has an younger brother and sister.

• Janet's dad was the head of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
• She gave a speech at the Democratic Convention while being treated for breast cancer.
• Her brother's name is Leonard and her sister's name is Nancy.
• She plays clarinet and guitar.
