ETIQUETTE NOW

THEY STILL HAVE THE TEA CEREMONY, BUT IT IS NO LONGER USED FOR PEACE
The tea ceremony now is used for A form of zen meditation, a source of close tots items if you wanted to collect the utensils for it, and as a social event.

MANNERS, THEN

  • Every time you entered a residence, the shoes came off.
  • You also had to bow every time you went somewhere.
The bows differed based on class and who you were bowing to. They also had shoes for being indoors, so when they entered someone's house they would change their shoes. Did people at home provide them or were they supposed to bring their own shoes?
