JAPANESE INTERNMENT CAMPS

On December 7,1942 Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese.

2,410 Japanese Americans died and about were 1,000 wounded

Then,on February 19,1942 Franklin D Roosevelt signed the order 9066

Order 9066 gave permission to put the Japanese Americans on internment camps.

While being interned the Japanese Americans could only take what they could carry

The rest of there belongings were either sold or abandoned.

The Japanese interment camps were a cruel imprisonment that caused suffering .

This punishment was not only cruel but a violation of the 5th amendment.

Jews/Japanese Americans

Several people died on the camps due to the stress and it had inadequate medical care .

The internment camps had little to no privacy because of its its small living spaces.

ALTHOUGH THE HARSH LIVING MANY HAD AN OPTIMISTIC LOOK AND STARTED

Schools , churches and even sports teams.
