PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Jasper City

Educate:

  • Energy is power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to do work machines.
  • The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant.
  • Renewable energy sources are ones which don´t run out, which can be renewed, Non Renewable energy sources are ones which do run out, as we use them to generate energy, they get used up, and cannot be used a second time.
  • Kinetic energy is contained in a moving object, while potential energy exists in a stored form.
  • We use hydroelectric energy to make electricity out of dams.

Power Plant Selection

  • Our dam has hydroelectric energy
  • A River is our source to put the dam
  • The water goes to the intake then it goes into the turban after that it goes into the generator to create electricity.
  • The dam is going in the river then the residents will not be able to swim, fish and canoe as much.

Environment

  • Our electricity is Renewable
  • A dam will block a fish migration
  • Our dam has waste products
  • Our dam does have benefits, it will provide electricity, drinking water, and it stops floods, but they are expensive.

Cost

  • The dam will cost $20 billion
  • Their taxes will go by an extra of $1,250 more dollars to pay for the dam.
  • Yes because after we have to pay $20 billion dollars the pedestrians still have to pay $1,250
