PLANT CELL

6TH HOUR JOSHUA BAHR

NUCLEUS
The Nucleus is the organelle that keeps the cell working.

CELL MEMBRANE
The Cell Membrane keeps the cell in place and keeps track what goes in and out of the cell.

DNA
DNA is to encode the sequence of amino acid residues in proteins, using the genetic code.

CYTOPLASM
The Cytoplasm is their to fill up the cell all of the organelles stay in place.

MITOCHONDRIA
The Mitochondria is to generate large quantities of energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate.

ROUGH ER
The Rough ER helps ribosomes make proteins.

SMOOTH ER
The Smooth ER is to eleases calcium ions and processes toxins.

BOUND RIBOSOMES
Bound Ribosomes stick to the Rough ER.

FREE RIBOSOMES
Free ribosomes group up to form polysomes.

CYTOSKELETON
The Cytoskeleton is to keep all of the organelles hooked up in the cell.

GOLGI BODY
The Golgi Body is to store all of the proteins for secretion.

VESICLES
The Vesicle can transport of materials within the cytoplasm.

NUCLEOLUS
The Nucleolus can rewrite ribosomal RNA and combine it with proteins.

NUCLEAR PORES
The Nuclear Pores regulates the transportation of molecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.

LYSOSOMES
Lysosomes break down waste materials and cellular debris.

CHLOROPLAST
The Chloroplast is to conduct photosynthesis, where the photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight.

VACUOLE
The Vacuole stores nutrient and non-nutrient chemicals and breaks down complex molecules.

CELL WALL
The Cell Wall provides these cells with structural support and protection.
