NICCOLO MACHIAVELLI

  • He was born on May 3, 1469 in Florence Italy.
  • In 1512 Niccolo was thrown in jail when the Medici family returned.
  • In jail he wrote The Price, a handbook for politicians to be ruthless
  • Died June 21, 1527.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

  • Worked for the Chamberlains men theater
  • Wrote Romeo and Juliet in Chamberlains theater.
  • Chamberlains theater shut down.
  • He started to work at the Globe Theater.
  • Wrote Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Macbeth.

Johannes Gutenberg

  • Born in Manz, Germany around the time 1398.
  • Invented the printing pressing the year 1450.
  • Made it possible for the middle class to spread knowledge
  • Mostly famous for creating the Gutenberg bible

Michelangelo

  • Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese, Italy
  • Was an apprentice for a artist by the name of Dominicio Ghirlando.
  • Sent to the Medici family to continue his learning
  • Sculpture including Bacchus, Pieta, and Battle of the centaurs
  • Painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel for the Pope
