  • The young of seals are called pups.
  • Most seals live in Antartica
  • Seals stay separated till mating season.
  • Seals can live from 20-40 years.
  • The longest living seal, a harbor seal lived for 47.6 years.
  • Seals can stay underwater for 15 minutes.
  • Seals can go in speeds upto 35-37 km/h.
  • Seals are 7-11.5 meters wide.
  • Normally, to stay on a seal colony, a male seal has to be fit, if they don’t find food, they are known for killing the young seal pups of their rival.
  • Leopard seals are the only species of seals to prey on other seals.
