IGNATIUS LOYOLA

• He was a soilder, but he became injured and started the society of Jesus
• He wanted to re-convert the people of Jerusalem back to christianity
• He founded the society with six other teachers in 1534 in France

WHY WAS THE ORDER FOUNDED

• After Ignatius was wounded a angel came to him
• He felt that he was sent out to re convert the holy land

THE AMERICAN EQUIVALENT

• He worked in lower Canada and Upper United States
• He was the Ambassador of Peace for the Hurons

JESUITS IN AMERICA

• The Jesuits came to South America and tried and convert the local people
• They created safe places where the Europeams could learn about God

ORGANIZATIONS EFFECT

• They converted parts of North and South America
• Jesuits created schools where people could about god
• I.e: Georgetown and Gonzaga Universities

I think the most interesting is the fact that they are still a very influential part of the church with creating schools and helping people
