JESUS CAN CALM OUR STORMS

07/05/2020      MARK 4 : 35-41

Mt 8:23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.
Mt 8:25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?""

Mt 8:23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

"in Christ" is found 85 times in the N.T.

2Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

1Peter 5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Ro 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized INTO CHRIST JESUS were baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the BODY OF SIN MIGHT BE DONE away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from SIN.

Ga 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Mt 8:23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

Mk 4:38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.

2020 Storms

Lu 11:9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Mt 8:25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

Jesus provides the calm (peace).

2Th 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Ro 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ro 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Mt 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
