JESUS'S DEATH

GRAMMATICAL

  • Passion- the sufferings of Jesus during his final days in life
  • Crucifixion- a form of slow and painful execution in which
  • the victim is tied or nailed to a large cross and left to hang
  • until death. This still reamins in some countries.

HISTORICAL

  • Death was an important part in Jesus's ministry because
  • What a a lot of people think of when they think of Jesus
  • The leaders who called Jesus's death probably thought the Jews would
  • Give up on their beliefs after their death.
  • Jesus died for our sins

HISTORICAL

  • Judas hung himself out of guilt
  • He condemned Jesus to death for money

SYNTHESIS

  • Combining these three things:
  • Jesus' Crucifixion
  • Jesus' Death
  • Jesus' Ressurection
  • These three moments were all for saving us and each had an important role.

PRACTICAL

  • We eat the bread and wine
  • It symbolizes our new covenant with Jesus
  • Which is through his body and blood
