THE CIA DID IT

On November 22,1963 President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while participating in a motorcade in Houston, Texas.

BELIEVED FACT

Three bullets were fired from a World War 2 era rifle. The shots came from a building the motorcade had recently passed. One shot missed with the other hitting John F. Kennedy in the neck and then continued to hit another in the wrist. The final shot was the final blow penetrating President Kennedy's skull and ending his life. After being taken into custody Oswald gave no information and was then killed by a hit man working for a crime boss while being transferred to a holding facility.

LYNDON B. JOHNSON

Very shortly after the assassination of President Kennedy, Lyndon B Johnson was inaugurated as the 36th president of the United Sates. The inauguration ceremony took place on Air Force One while flying from Houston where JFK was assassinated to Washington D.C. November 22,1963.

KENNEDY'S RELATIONSHIP

WITH THE CIA

After the bay of pigs invasion Kennedy accepted the blame for its failure but privately blamed the CIA.

MOTIVES

The CIA knew of the presidents dislike and distrust of him and feared the president would heavily reform and monitor the CIA or shut them down completely.

THE ASSASINATION

In fear for the future of their agency the CIA plotted the assassination of John F. Kennedy. They hired gunman Lee Harvey Oswald of no connection or clear motive to take the shots and end the presidents life.

LEE HARVEY OSWALD

Lee Harvey Oswald was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 18, 1939. Later in Oswald's life he would join the U.S. Military. After his military career he moved to the Soviet Union. Oswald would later come back with a family and then acquired multiple firearms. After Oswald allegedly assassinated President Kennedy he was held for questioning for two days. While being transported to a county jail on November 24, 1963 he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby.
