The Jim Crow laws were meant to be a new segregation act
The AA were seperated from whites in every way possible
These laws followed the black codes which happened from 1800-1866
The Jim Crow laws lasted from the years 1876-1965
These laws were ended by Martin Luther King Jr.

Impact on AA
The AA were segregated from whites, and treated unfair
In most restaurants, drinking fountains, and everything else in the south, AA were segregated
There were signs all over the South that segregated African Americans from whites.

HOW IT UNDERMINED RECONSTRUCTION
The Jim Crow laws went against the 14th amendment
They also went against the government
These new laws were violating rights of innocent african americans.
