Early life
Father was sent The the army to attend in WWII three days after the wedding. 3 years later when AL came back he reunited with Lucille And met his son for the fist time. Al was unable to find a steady job which lead to them moving into cheap Hotels and apartments, sometimes Jimmi would go visit his grandma in Vancouver.

Early life

jimi's parents would often fight when intoxicated, Due to the violence and his brother Leon being in and out of foster care Jimi attached to a broom stick as a security blanket, he pretended that it was a electric guitar for about a year. After his parents divorced Al got custody of Jimi and Leon, Jimi's mom died of liver cirrhosis.

While helping his dad with a side job, Jimi found a ukulele that only had one string, He would play by ear to the tone of Elvys' songs

By 15 his father bought him a acoustic guitar, He then formed a band, soon He realized that he would need a electric guitar since the acoustic wasn't loud enough. He then bought an electric guitar for $5

Important places:
Jimi was caught ridding a stolen car a couples times, the officer gave him the option between jail or military service, Jimi chose to join the military, after he completed basic training he sent a letter to his father begging for him to send him he's guitar. Later Jimi was granted an Honourable discharge due to him sleeping on duty and missing multiple bed checks

Challenges
Jimi was very poor growing up and witnessed his parents fight a lot when intoxicated. this lead to Jimi abusing of alcohol and drugs, Jimi was normally a nice person but when he got drunk he became very aggressive.

Turning point
During a a show in new york, Linda keith (the girlfriend of one of the Rolling Stones guitarist) noticed Jimi and Invited him for a drink, she recommended him to the rolling stones manager but he failed to see potential in him and rejected him. She then referred him to Chas Chandler, a member from the band The Animals, Chas brought Jimi to London and signed him a contract. They later recruited Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell, and thus became The Jimi Hendrix Experience

  • Rolling stone magazine ranked him number one on their list of 100 greatest guitarist
  • A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was dedicated to Hendrix on November 14, 1991
