Jimi Hendrix was born on November 27, 1942 as Johnny Allen Hendrix in Seattle, Washington having two brothers and a mother who was 17 when she had him! But he often stayed with other relatives or acquaintances due to issues in his family

Jimi Hendrix became popular off of the band the Tomcats and The Rocking Kings

Jimi Hendrix inspiration came at a young age of 14 when he saw Elvis in concert and got a following guitar but another influence in his life was the blues which is still a steady flowing genre today but has changed a little due to preference.

Third and final is "Little Wing" from (Axis: Bold as love) which was a mash up of different songs from different musicians around the world and was the first time Jimi recorded his guitar through a Leslie speaker creating echo like noises

JIMI HENDRIX WAS IMPORTANT TO THE ROCK INDUSTRY BECAUSE...

  • He was self taught
  • The first famous left handed guitarist
  • And brought new ideas to the rock world such as the Leslie speaker that made the guitars sounds echo much more
  • The last thing is that Jimi Hendrix died of a drug overdose and sadly that his amazing music could not be spread more to the world
