THE PAPER BOY

Hello, I am Johannes Gensfleisch Zurich Laden Zumba Gutenberg, and I am one of the most important Germans in history. I was born in Mainz, Germany, in 1395. I was a hard working young boy, learning the gold smithing trait. I was also innovative, using the skills I had learned metalworking to develop a new way to make documents. Somebody I looked up to was my mother. She was always there for me, regardless if my father was. My contribution to society was the first printing press. The splash that my my machine made was that documents could now be copied quicker than ever before. Your modern day printer is an innovation of my press.

This background image is a good representation of me because I used blocks like these to make words.

I knew the trade of gold smithing as a young boy, which helped me design the printing press. This image of gold depicts that.

This paper was what I used to make books on.

This is a bible. It was the first book I printed with my printing press.

This is the printing press. It represents me because, ya know, I invented it.

"QUOTES"

Said by me

3 THINGS I SAID

  • "Position the blocks on the page like you want them to, then press down."
  • "Yes, I actually did invent this."
  • "Am I the only person that wonders what this could become when there is better technology?"
